Case: Themed Cheer Zone for Royal Run Copenhagen
A celebration in motion. Theatre dropped into the middle of the city.
Commissioned by Sparta, the organisation behind Royal Run, we turned a stretch of the Copenhagen race route into a world of movement, colour, and live interaction.
Drawing on carnival and street theatre, the cheer zone was built to be alive — not a fixed installation, but something that moved and reacted. Stilt walkers towering over the crowd, harlequins in black-and-white check, Venetian masks, ribbon dancers, and giant Danish flags waving the runners through.
The goal was straightforward: lift the energy of the event and drop in moments of surprise along the way. The performers didn't stand apart from the race — they ran with it, high-fiving runners, playing off the crowd, and feeding the atmosphere that makes Royal Run what it is. Everything was made to be seen in motion. Bold silhouettes, theatrical styling, and big movement that read from across the street, while masks and close passes landed moments of real connection up close.
From concept and creative direction to casting, choreography, costume design, and live execution on the day, Fredie P Creatives delivered the complete experience.
The result was a temporary world inside the city: a playful, immersive celebration that turned a strip of pavement into something thousands of runners and spectators won't forget.
