Case: Live Performance for Oscar-Themed Gala
Movement as atmosphere. Presence as arrival.
Commissioned for an Oscar-themed evening at Hotel d’Angleterre, this project explored how live performance can set tone from the very first moment — before a single word is spoken.
Guests were welcomed onto a red carpet experience where performers became part of the arrival. Not as a show, but as an extension of the setting — establishing mood, elegance, and anticipation. Rather than isolating the performance to a stage, the format moved between moments. From red carpet to interior, from welcome to live showpiece — each transition carefully placed within the flow of the evening. A versatile performance sequence was developed, combining elements of old Hollywood:
Charleston, tap, live vocals, and partner work — referencing the cinematic language of the Oscars while remaining grounded in the room.
The performance was built to feel effortless, but executed with precision.
Timing, proximity, and awareness allowed the performers to guide attention without interrupting the experience. We delivered a complete creative framework, including concept development, casting, choreography, styling, and live execution — ensuring cohesion from first arrival to final moment. The result was not a show within the event, but a layer within it. A subtle shift in atmosphere — from reception to something cinematic. A performance designed to be experienced before it is fully understood.
